Proof The Elite Could Care Less
In an effort to overthrow the freely expressed will of the people of New Hampshire, who have consistently voted Donald Trump top of all their polls by significant margins, a former New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman, Fergus Cullen, has announced he’s challenging Trump’s appearance on the “live free or die” state’s GOP Primary ballot.
Cullen’s complaint has been filed with the state’s Ballot Law Commission to try to dispute GOP presidential leader Donald Trump as a Republican candidate. It runs to six pages and claims that Donald Trump must “present evidence that he is a registered member of the Republican Party because his views, expressed over decades, are inconsistent with the Republican Party platform and the Republican Party of New Hampshire’s statement of principles and bylaws.”
Is Kasich Behind The Dirt?
Naturally Trump’s campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, who first met Trump in 2014 at a political event in New Hampshire, hit back. In a statement to the Union Leader, Lewandowski suggested that Cullen works for Ohio Gov. John Kasich, one of the no-hope Republican rivals way, way behind Trump in the polls. Kaisch has also recently spent several million dollars on silly TV ads to try to attack Trump. Like the rest of Kasich’s campaign, the ads have been so poor hardly anyone has taken notice.
It shouldn’t come as a surpprise that Kasich is involved somewhere. We all know he is an ass. He’s proved it many times, not least in the recent TV debates. More importantly we know he has no regard for Republican Party voters or for democracy. If anyone in this campaign is expressing non Republican Party policies it is Kasich, not Donald Trump.
Kasich’s presidential campaign is over, everyone knows it but him. All he is doing is firing a few parting shots at Trump before he goes the way of Perry, Walker and Jindal and disappears from the scene.
More Support For Donald Trump
Refuting the nonsensical allegations, Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said, “Number one, Mr. Trump’s views do comport with the Republican Party and number two, from a constitutional stand point, there is such a thing as freedom of speech.”
He continued, “To file such a document against the person who is not only the frontrunner, but leading by tremendous margins is outrageous. If anything like this would ever happen Mr. Trump’s supporters would probably riot in the streets of New Hampshire. This is yet another attempt by the failed GOP establishment to keep Mr. Trump off the ballot because they know he is the only one who can Make America Great Again.”
Lewandowski is quite correct. It is an attempt by the failed GOP establishment to try to keep their hands on the reins of power in spite of the fact that the vast majority of Republican Party supporters are fed up with their pointless little games in Washington and their disregard for what the ordinary people want and expect from their political representatives. It is also proof that the GOP elite could care less about democracy.
It will be interesting to see how many of the other candidates condemn this blatant attempt to corrupt the democratic process. Don’t hold your breath on that one though.
Like other attempts to attack Trump, this latest one in New Hampshire is doomed to fail. All it will achieve is more support for Donald Trump, not only in New Hampshire but through America. The people want to see America great again, even if the GOP do not.
